Modalert 200 mg is FDA approved to treat narcolepsy and sleep-related disorders, but it’s also been used off-label as a cognitive enhancement drug. Its effectiveness as a cognitive enhancer is due to its binding to the dopamine transporter, which prevents dopamine from entering cells and slowing down your brain. The drug also causes an increase in hippocampal acetylcholine release, which boosts your mental performance and promotes wakefulness.
