Andrew Johnson Andrew Johnson studied philosophy as an undergraduate at the University of Notre Dame (where, ironically, he underwent a conversion from Christianity to agnosticism) and then went on to obtain a PhD in philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2001. In addition to articles on the philosophy of Kant in academic journals, he has also published a critical review on C. S. Lewis' Mere Christianity in the Nov./Dec. 2003 issue of The Humanist.
